It is necessary to carry support of images to essential updatings more 4.5Гб, i.e. the volume of the kept is almost limited only by resources of your disk on which you write down an image.

At creation of an image of section/disk the occupied data packages are copied only, possibility of compression of an image is supposed. The received image can be written down as locally, and on a remote server (ssh, smb, nfs).
Unlike simple copying by dd command which copies also an empty seat, in Clonezilla some utilities enter, I process a data stream to the utility dd, completely ignoring free blocks. Therefore image will include only the data.
Also it is not necessary to forget that the received image is an image created by means of the utility dd, and the archiver (опционально) with which it is possible to work on any UNIX to system, and you are not adhered to one distribution kit (product).
